Hamilton has persevered through a troublesome Formula 1 2022 season up to this point. He finished in the thirteenth spot at the last end of the week at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. What was more damning for the Mercedes driver is that he was lapped by his adversary Max Verstappen, who ultimately dominated the race.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko could not let go of this golden opportunity to take a dig at Hamilton, as he said “I mean, he was lapped by us in Imola GP. Maybe he should have stopped last year, he is thinking! Maybe.”
