Immediately after the Grand Prix ended, Ricciardo was seen going to the Ferrari paddock to express sorry to Sainz. It was a signal that was much appreciated by everyone, and Sainz has now claimed that there is no bad blood between the two drivers.

“It says much about Daniel as an athlete and as a sportsman that immediately after a race, where you could see he’s had a tough one, the first thing that he did was come into the Ferrari box and apologize to me,” he said.

“There were the whole mechanics there with me. And we all thanked him for the gesture. So that’s why there’s no hard feelings with Daniel’s because of what happened,” he said.
Meanwhile, everything turned out badly within the seconds of Emilia Romagna’s start after Ricciardo tagged Sainz at the first chicane and pitched him off into the gravel trap. While Ricciardo could continue after the incident, Sainz was out on the spot as he registered his second successive DNF.

Owing to this DNF, Carlos Sainz has now dropped to the fifth position with 38 points and 48 points behind leader and teammate Charles Leclerc. Whereas, Daniel Ricciardo is reeling behind in the eleventh position with just 11 points to his name.
