The British driver trudged along to come P13 and said it was one of his worst drives throughout his star-studded career. After the race, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff apologized to Hamilton over the radio, conceding the vehicle was ‘undriveable.’

Wolff said Hamilton merits better from the vehicle. “We are not good enough for a world champion, not worthy for a world champion. We just need to fix the car. Lewis deserves better from us. But we are a team, so we all need to do the upmost in order to provide him with a machine that is able to fight for the front positions,” he claimed.
