World Cricket Fab 4: Harbhajan Singh refuses to keep Babar Azam on Fab 4 list, says, ‘A long way to go’- check out
“I think it is a bit too early to say if he can be in the Fab 4. But now it’s too early to put him in any league. Let him play and keep on scoring more runs and winning games for his team,” Harbhajan said as quoted by Geo TV.
However, Harbhajan accepted the fact that Babar Azam will be one of the legends of world cricket.
“But Babar definitely has the quality, and he is a proper batsman with so much confidence and technique. Talent-wise, he is no less than anyone else. Going forward, he will be one of the legends of cricket,” he added.
Babar Azam recently scored a double ton against Australia as he levelled up in Test cricket besides white-ball heroics.

As of now, ex-international captains Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith and New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson are part of Fab 4 list owing to their ability to win games across formats.
- England’s Joe Root, who scored the most Test runs in 2021, named Wisden Cricketer of the Year.
- Kiwi Kane Williamson has been consistent for New Zealand but injuries have ruled him out of plenty of matches.
- Virat Kohli, unfortunately, needs to get back among big runs if he wants to continue to be a part of the elite list. He is on a century drought since November 2019.
- Meanwhile, Steve Smith had a decent outing against Pakistan in during the Test series where he scored three half-centuries.
