After three long years, Mumbai Indians returned to their home ground as Rohit Sharma and Co. stepped out at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. The return coincided with legend Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday, with the Master Blaster who turned 49 on Sunday.

In the meantime, the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai also made the day special for the Master Blaster. On Sunday, Mumbai Indians (MI) played their first game at the iconic venue in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It was also the Mumbai-based team’s first match at the Wankhede in more than three years.
During the game against KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the audience present at the venue broke into chants of ‘Sachin Sachin’, showing their love and admiration for Tendulkar. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric as the enigmatic figure of Indian cricket turned a year older.
