“I’m all good, I’ve had just the standard COVID symptoms so it certainly wasn’t my choice to go to the hospital the other night” Mitchell Marsh told SEN.
“I’m all sweet so hopefully I’ll be back playing some cricket in a couple of days. It was a case of the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and my franchise Delhi Capitals just looking after me, they wanted me to go there just to get checked up,” he added.
- Mitchell Marsh can help strengthen the DC middle-order who have failed to finish off games.
- He was phenomenal for Australia in T20 World Cup, he will look to guide DC to the playoff in the second part of IPL 2022 fixtures.
- After return, players/ support staff will undergo mandatory 3 days of isolation (minimum time period) and test twice negative for COVID tests in order to rejoin DC camp.
IPL 2022: Ricky Ponting in isolation- DC head coach Ricky Ponting, meanwhile, is placed in isolation after a positive COVID case. He will remain in isolation for five days as he was a close contact. The development kept him away from the ground for RR vs DC but expected to return for DC vs KKR on April 28.
“Ponting has tested negative twice subsequently. However, in the best interest of the team, the management and medical team has decided that he will remain in isolation for five days, as he was a close contact,” a DC statement read.
There have been six COVID cases in the DC camp in the past week. New Zealand batsman Tim Seifert and Australian physio Patrick Farhart were among the positive cases in the camp.
