Formula 1: Charles Leclerc admits finding the thief who stole his watch – The Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was the victim of a burglary when he was mobbed by fans for autographs while out strolling in Tuscany ahead of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Leclerc admits that finding the thief who stole his £245,000 watch has not been a great experience for him. Follow Imola GP Live Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Leclerc ahead of the Imola Grand Prix gave an update on the situation, “I won’t go too much into details. It hasn’t been a great experience. I cannot say much more than that. But obviously, everything is going on with the police, and they are trying to find them.”

“It hasn’t been as smooth as what I’ve read. But yeah, overall, I am fine and fully focused on the weekend. It won’t hurt me for this weekend,” said Leclerc.

As per reports in Italy, Leclerc’s endeavor to pursue the thief down however was ineffective. The episode was accounted for by the police, who have been attempting to find the criminal. However, they apparently have little luck so far.

The Ferrari star was out with companions in the Tuscan city of Viareggio on Easter Monday when the occurrence occurred. A criminal took advantage at around 10 pm when he was perceived by fans who immediately mobbed him.

As the Formula 1 racer was signing autographs and taking photographs with those frantic who wanted to spend a few moments in his company. Leclerc didn’t see somebody slip his costly Richard Mille watch off his wrist. It was just a short time later that he understood what had occurred, however, the criminal was a distant memory.

Ahead of the first Sprint Qualifying weekend of the year, the 24-year-old demands he is savoring the test of thinking of an outcome that will satisfy the demanding Tifosi. “I’m very excited. After the first three races, everything has gone our way, and we seem to have a very strong car for this year,” Leclerc added.

“Obviously to be at home for Ferrari, I know that in past years we had so much support here. And now to be here in that position, I’m sure it’s going to be special. But the most important thing for us this weekend is to not overdo things, which is easy whenever there is excitement, and whenever things are going well. We need to stay focused on our job, not try to do too much, and hopefully, it will be a positive weekend.”
