WWE News: Kevin Owens Divulges His Reaction When Vince McMahon Revealed His WrestleMania Opponent
The former Universal Champion Kevin Owens headlined WrestleMania 38 to fight Stone Cold Steve Austin in a No Holds Barred Match. The Prizefighter had accomplished another milestone in his career with his match with a WWE Legend. Although he lost the match, he was able to fight his ideal.
At first, when Owens found out about his WrestleMania opponent, his reaction was priceless. Eventually, he was happy that it was happening in real for sure. In a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, Owens revealed his reaction after Vince McMahon revealed his WrestleMania opponent.
“Vince told me a little while ago. My reaction was quiet jubilation because I was in Vince’s office, but I may have said a few swear words to him – positively! It was really surreal.”
Further, he also revealed being a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan and admired the Ring Master. “It’s funny, ’cause I was a fan of his from the start. He came in as the Ringmaster, and even he would probably say it wasn’t a great time in his career,’ he laughed.”I loved him as The Ringmaster! And then he became Stone Cold and he was on another level. But I was always a huge fan of his. He’s my favourite wrestler of all time, and now I get to be in the ring with him at WrestleMania. At the end of 2021, Kevin Owens resigned his deal with WWE and soon he got a chance to fight his ideal. Although he wasn’t aware of the fact of fighting the WWE Legend, he resigned on his terms.
Eventually, WWE gave the former Universal Champion a dream match that rarely any superstar gets in WWE. Currently, Owens is in a segment with Ezekiel on Monday Night Raw, and soon both men could clash in the near future.
