While we are over halfway through the season, the two most prominent and successful IPL teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are yet to make an impact in IPL 2022. The Mumbai Indians have been the least fun to watch, having gone from being the record IPL winners to currently being bottom on the IPL 2022 points table.

Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, were only able to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their second last game out of six games played in IPL 2022, and are currently ranked ninth in the points table with only two points.

From here, both MI and CSK have slim prospects of qualifying for the IPL 2022 playoffs. To keep their chances in the tournament alive, the two bottom-placed clubs will have to win by a large margin.
