IPL 2022: KL Rahul becomes fastest Indian to score 6000 T20 runs, breaks Virat Kohli’s record to achieve the feat – Check Out
KL Rahul was playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Lucknow Super Giants skipper required 23 runs in the match to become the fastest Indian to scale 6000 runs in T20 cricket.
The 30-year old reached the landmark in just his 166th T20 innings and thereby surpassed Virat Kohli, who took 18 innings more than Rahul to reach the landmark.

He also became the third fastest batsman in the world to score 6000 runs in T20 cricket and is only behind Chris Gayle, who took 162 innings and Babar Azam who achieved the feat in 165 innings.
Rahul particularly enjoys playing against RCB and has a terrific record against the team. In the last 5 innings, he has scored 365 runs, that includes 2 half-centuries and a century.
Coming into the game after scoring a brilliant century against Mumbai Indians in his previous match, Rahul however couldn’t score big this time as he was dismissed for 30 runs off 24 balls, chasing 182. His team eventually lost the game as they fell short by 18 runs in the end.
