How 3 candidates for 4th position stand currently in the league table:
- Tottenham Hotspur – 57 points in 31 games
- Arsenal – 54 points in 30 games
- Manchester United – 51 points in 31 games
Tottenham Hotspur – Currently at fourth, the team lead by Antonio Conte has had its trouble this season, but with five wins in six Premier League games, they have given themselves a lift. With matches against Brighton, Burnley, Norwich, Brentford to come in the coming days, Spurs should be the favourites to make the cut. Although the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal still stand in their way, it remains to be seen how they end the season while a return to Champions League football remains a certainty.
Arsenal – Prior to the international break in March, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were one of the most in-form team, but have since lost three in four and have been overtaken by Spurs. The North Londoners need a solid finish to the season, where they face Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs West Ham and Everton, making the job little bit tough but with game in hand they will still fancy their chances.

Manchester United – Not many expected this side to slide this low provided the likes of players they have. With Cristiano Ronaldo, Varane United were expected to challenge for the trophies, but have slumped to seventh position as things stand. They still have the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal to content for the remainder of the campaign, which makes their job difficult going into the final stage of the season.
Outsiders – While the big boys are fighting upright, West Ham and Wolves have quietly gone with their business as they still are in the race for top four. West Ham’s Europa League campaign still gives them another chance to qualify for the Champions League, but for Wolves it is all about finishing in the top four of they are to feature in the European football’s elite.
