The team is satisfied with the car’s performance as they head to the Australian Grand Prix this weekend. The Australian track has undergone some major changes and it plays to the strengths of the F1-75 car. Thus, it allows the team to maintain the competitiveness demonstrated in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Reducing the weight of the cars is one of the main priorities for the teams. Meanwhile, Alfa Romeo is the only team that has designed a car that gets close to Formula 1’s new minimum weight.
Red Bull’s team advisor, Helmut Marko has also confirmed that they will reduce the dead weight from their RB18 car. They will shed out around eight kilograms of weight from the car when F1 reaches Imola.
Ferrari’s team principal, Mattia Binotto also feels that the team is in a good position to fight for the titles. Unlike their chances that faded away in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Binotto has praised his team for doing a great job at the factory in building a competitive car for the 2022 season.

Binotto said, “We might have put more focus on 2022. But we all started at the same point and just did a good job. I don’t think we have an advantage over the others. Who has it will only be seen after the first five races.”
Ferrari’s duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are leading in the Drivers’ standings. Leclerc is at the top with 45 points followed by Carlos Sainz who has 33 points. They are followed by the reigning champion Max Verstappen, who has 25 points to his name.
