IPL 2022: 2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to release their new anthem soon. The team uploaded a teaser on its social media handles to give an update on the same and revealed that popular Telugu music director SS Thaman will be scoring the music for the anthem. In the teaser video released by the franchise, players were seen training in the gym when Shreyas Gopal asks his teammates to listen to a new Telugu song ‘Kalavathi’, composed by SS Thaman for an upcoming Telugu movie. The song has already become popular and in the video players can be seen getting excited and dancing to the tunes.
Seeing the players getting excited, Andhra’s pacer Harishankar Reddy, who is currently with the team as net bowler says, ‘They are so excited about this song, I wonder how they’ll react to the next song.’ The video then ends with a tune from the upcoming anthem and with the update “SRH anthem by Thaman Coming Soon”
Sunrisers Hyderabad, who made five consecutive appearances in the IPL Playoffs right from 2016 to 2020, had a poor tournament last year where they finished on the bottom of the points table. They are looking to make a comeback this year.
The team led by Kane Williamson will kickstart the season this year on Tuesday, 29th March against Rajashthan Royals at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
