Paula Badosa is in red-hot form with victories against the likes of Amanda Anisimova & Leylah Fernandez at the Indian Wells Masters.
Kudermetova comes as a big challenge to Badosa after the former had stunned 4-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka at BNP Paribas Open in the opener. The 24-year-old seeks her third semifinal of the season.
She overcame No.30 seed Marketa Vondrousova in 2 hours and 52 minutes to edge the Czech, 7-6(5), 6-7(5), 7-5 to advance to her first Indian Wells quarterfinal.
While Badosa wrapped up Leylah Fernandez in straight sets, Kudermetova beat Vondrousova in 3 sets battle in their last fixtures.
Badosa has won 12 out of 16 matches in 2022 while Kudermetova has managed 11 victories in 16 games to stay on equal terms ahead of the crucial clash.
The 24-year-old Spaniard improved her undefeated record at Indian Wells to 9-0. Naomi Osaka was the last player to win nine consecutive matches at Indian Wells, from 2018 to 2019.

Badosa is on course to become the first woman to defend the Indian Wells title since Martina Navratilova won in 1990 and 1991. She has already won the Sydney title in 2022 to open her account in WTA tours.

The Sydney champion has not dropped a set at the WTA 1000 tournament in the Southern California desert, as she looks to secure only the fourth title of her career.
