The Indian spinner, who was a part of the national team’s squad for the recently-concluded series against Sri Lanka, arrived at Rajasthan’s team hotel alongside his wife Dhanashree Verma. The franchise organized a very special welcome for their prized asset as they bought cartoon costumed performers to greet the player.

In a video uploaded by the franchise, the legendary cartoon figures Tom & Jerry are seen greeting the player on his way into the hotel. “Toh @yuzi_chahal, kaisa laga humara swagat?” the Royals wrote on Twitter, to which the 31-year-old replied “3 days quarantine bus uske baad hum he karenge joh karna hai.“

Captain Sanju Samson joins camp alongside Padikkal, Saini
Alongside Chahal, four other players from the Indian camp joined the Rajasthan Royals team hotel on Monday in skipper Sanju Samson, opening batter Devdutt Padikkal and pacer Navdeep Saini. The Royals are soon expected to leave Nagpur for Pune, where they will play their 2022 season opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29.
