Rohit Sharma joins MI camp – India registered a comprehensive 238-run triumph over Sri Lanka on Monday, thereby whitewashing their neighbours in both T20I and Test formats. Having achieved a similar feat against West Indies last month, it will be fair to say that newly-appointed all-format skipper Rohit Sharma is doing a fine job at the helm. However, Sharma is not known for resting on his laurels, and barely hours after the decimation job against Sri Lanka, he has arrived at the Mumbai Indians team hotel.

The most successive franchise of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians are currently based at the Trident Bandra Kurla Complex, where they have booked the entire hotel to themselves. All Indian players and a few overseas stars in the likes of Daniel Sams and Tim David have already joined the camp, whereas the others are expected to soon follow suit.

Alongside Sharma, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and the most expensive player in the auction, Ishan Kishan has also joined the camp. Speaking on reuniting with Mumbai, Kishan said “Feels good to be back with the family. I am looking forward to a great season ahead.”
