Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko couldn’t hold back the tears as his second half goal sent West Ham on their way to a 2-1 win over Aston Villa. It was a battle of the claret and blue at the London Stadium as West Ham hosted Aston Villa.
There was an early blow for the away side as Lucas Digne hobbled off after 15 minutes to be replaced by Ashley Young. The Hammers then wrestled control of the half and peppered the Villa goal with a barrage of efforts on the half hour mark.
