Muhammad Usman Dar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Youth Affairs, in a recent press conference announced the government’s plans to soon launch the Kamyab Jawan E-sports initiative to boost the growth of esports in Pakistan. Usman Rana stated that this initiative is taken to help the youth of the country to channelize their gaming passion through a structured platform and upgrade their skills. Initially, this program will be launched in 25 cities across Pakistan engaging college, university, and school students as a part of the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan plan. Thereby, the top 10 e-gaming businesses will be assigned by the government to work to avail facilities to the youth.

Kamyab Jawan E-sports will join hands with the Lahore Qalanders, a Pakistani professional cricket team, to kick start its journey in the esports realm. Atif Rana, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Lahore Qalandars has welcomed this new step and stated that the country’s youth would no longer suffer because of the lack of resources. He believes Pakistan has a huge talent in this field and the current need is to guide them and provide them with opportunities that this initiative has pledged to offer.

Usman Rana also stressed the fact that esports has a huge fan base as the industry is booming with professional esports players worldwide. He said Kamyab Jawan E-sports has been launched with the primary goal of educating and empowering the youth.
