Kohli Partners with MrOwl on a 4-Week #MrOwlChallenge Contest

Virat Kohli has partnered with MrOwl, a community interest engine, for a four-week #MrOwlChallenge contest.

MrOwl has announced the launch of the #MrOwlChallenge, a 4-week contest that gives participants the opportunity to win prizes signed by Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli and more.

The #MrOwlChallenge arises from the partnership between MrOwl and Virat Kohli announced earlier this year. The #MrOwlChallenge, to run from September 23 through October 20, will award 170 winners a variety of prizes, including memorabilia signed by Kohli and gift cards valued at ₹1,000 each.

The participants can become eligible to win prizes in the #MrOwlChallenge by registering for MrOwl and follow @viratkohli on MrOwl. This entry method automatically enters users into random drawings for gift cards from Puma One8, WROGN and MuveAcoustics.

The contestants also have an option to build a qualified MrOwl “branch” on any topic that inspires people and earns the most points. Participants earn 1 point for each grab of their MrOwl “branch” and 1 point for each invited friend who becomes a registered MrOwl user. Prizes will include signed memorabilia and gift cards.

Arvind Raichur, CEO and Co-Founder of MrOwl is excited to see what new branches will be created and popularized through the contest. According to Raichur, “Because of [the platform’s) unique digital storage and organization capabilities, new branches on MrOwl have the potential to be valuable resources, stores of collective knowledge to a degree that no other search or social platform can match. Branches are more than a collection of pictures, videos or links. They are artefacts of an interested community.”

Kohli is also enthusiastic about the #MrOwlChallenge, but for a different reason. Kohli’s partnership with MrOwl was based on the platform’s ability to provide him with more authentic ways to connect with his fans. “The #MrOwlChallenge creates the opportunity for me to give back to my fans,” Kohli said. “I’m excited to see what they build MrOwl branches on.”

Cornerstone Sports and Entertainment COO Jogesh Lulla also notes that “we associated with MrOwl with the intention to get Virat’s fans closer to him. Giving them an opportunity to get personally signed merchandise by Virat, is just another step to accomplish that. ”
