At a press conference today, New Zealand coach Gary Stead has confirmed that the Kiwi players would be a part of the IPL competition throughout. “They won’t be available for that (Netherlands) series. I think it’s always exciting as a coach when you know that a number of players build the depth of the squad and that leads to the big picture of leading it to the World Cup in the future,” he added.

As the Netherlands are all set to tour New Zealand as a part of their ongoing Super League competition, the Dutch side is scheduled to play 4 games on Kiwi soil. However, the main problem regarding this tour has been the availability of the New Zealand players who are a vital part of the different IPL teams. Since the dates between the Netherlands tour of New Zealand and IPL 2022 coincide with one another, there have been quite a few worries about the availability of the Kiwi players.

The Netherlands will play their one-off T20I match on 25th March, while the three ODI matches will be held on 29th March, 2nd April, and 4th April respectively.
