BAN beat AFG – Having won the first ODI in spectacular fashion, Bangladesh comfortably sealed yet another win to bring curtains on the ODI series. Batting first in the 2nd ODI, a scintillating 136 from Liton Das ensured that the hosts put on a massive 306/4 in their 50 overs, with Mushfiqur Rahim chipping in with a fine 93-ball 86 in the middle.

In response, Afghanistan showed little fight with Rahmat Shah and Najibullah Zadran scoring half-centuries, but the rest of the batting just crumbled with the Bangladesh bowling attack sharing the spoils. The loss meant that Bangladesh have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the ODI series, with the final ODI set to be played at Chattogram on Monday.
