The match continued to be a nervy affair in the second half with Spurs pulling the strings in midfield. New signing Dejan Kulusevski came inches away from opening the scoring but will rue the missed opportunity as a Ben Mee header made things 1-0 for Burnley minutes later against the run of play.

With time running out Antonio Conte’s side continued to ramp up the pressure but their lacklustre finishing couldn’t beat the likes of Nick Pope and company. In the end, time ran out and the hosts pick up three big points and move to eighteenth while Spurs stay eighth.
