Quetta Gladiators enter into this contest after losing their last game against Lahore Qalandars. They will look to get back to winning ways. Quetta were in a good form before that game against Lahore Qalandars. Jason Roy scored a century and a half-century in those two games and played a crucial role in those two victories. Against Lahore, he was dismissed in the first over by Shaheen Afridi and the team couldn’t get going.

 Quetta Gladators will once again expect Jason Roy to fire at the top of the order. James Vince too has been in a good form and will need to partner Roy in hitting a good score. In the last game, Ifthikhar Ahmed showed good hitting abilities by slamming a half-century. Sarfaraz Ahmed the skipper also looks in good touch.  Batsmen need to perform collectively to lift the team up.

Peshawar enters into this contest after defeating Karachi Kings comfortably. In that game, their openers Hazratullah Zazai and Mohamad Haris, got the team off to a brilliant start. Zazai scored a fifty while Haris struck a blistering 49. Against Karachi, pacer Salman Irshad and skipper Wahab Riaz were outstanding with the ball as the duo picked up four wickets and conceded less than 7 runs in their quota of four overs.

The biggest challenge for the Zalmi is to contain the run flow especially in the powerplay against a player like Jason Roy, who is in a good form. The same goes to the Quetta Gladiators as Zazai and Haris looks dangerous. Both the teams are in a desperate need of a victory to ease their chances of qualifying for the playoffs and with both the teams equally poised one can expect a cracker of a contest.
