IPL 2022: Aussies badly snubbed at IPL AUCTION, no takers for Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Adam Zampa and many others, Australians lose 50% of their IPL Salary

  • A total of Rs 237.5 crore were spent on overseas players to buy 67 players from WI, ENG, AUS, SA, NZ, AFG & BAN.
  • West Indies & England players made it big at the mega auction with Rs 100 crore+ invested in these country’s players.
  • Australia remained the third in the list but a large number of Aussies were snubbed from the mega auction including Steve Smith & Aaron Finch.
  • England’s Liam Livingstone was the costliest purchase for Rs 11.25 crore by Punjab Kings. Nicholas Pooran & Wanindu Hasaranga also bagged Rs 10.75 crore from SRH and RCB respectively. Lockie Ferguson was also sold for Rs 10 crore by Gujarat Titans.
