Suresh Raina: The veteran middle-order batter and the ever compatriot of MS Dhoni in the Chennai Super Kings went unsold when his name went under the hammer. It was quite a big surprise for all the fans as Suresh Raina goes unsold in IPL 2022.

Steve Smith: It was not that big of a surprise when Australian star batter Steve Smith was ignored in the IPL 2022 Auction. Smith is a traditional test batter who rarely performed well in T20 games. Apart from being injured, his high base price of 2Crores was also one of the main reasons for teams not opting for this star.

Shakib Al Hasan: The Bangladeshi cricketer was once the No. 1 all-rounder in the world. The former Kolkata Knight Riders player was ignored by all teams in IPL 2022. A lack of form and the controversy surrounding his ban probably restricted teams from opting for him. A high base price of 2 Crores for the 35-year-old player also played a key role in teams not buying him.

Adil Rashid: The star English spinner who is a key part of the team in the ODIs for England has played just a single game in IPL for the Punjab Kings. A high price of 2 Crores for the 34-year-old led teams to ignore him in IPL 2022 Auction.

Imran Tahir: The oldest player to register for the IPL 2022 Auction remained unsold. Tahir who has been out of the South African squad for quite some time has been regularly playing domestic cricket. Having played just 1 game in IPL 2021 and with a price of 2 crores, he remained unsold in the auction.

World No 1 Test batsman Marnus Labuschagne fails to attract any BIDS at IPL Auction

Marnus Labuschagne: The current World No. 1 batter in Test cricket remained unsold in the auction. With a base price of just 1 Crore, it was a surprise that none of the team went in for the player. Despite being in a fantastic form off late, he was conveniently ignored by every team.

Eoin Morgan: The star English batter who took over the reins of Kolkata Knight Riders After Dinesh Karthik stepped down as skipper mid-season in 2021, Eoin Morgan steered his team diligently. Morgan had a base price of 1.5 Crores, however, no team decided to gamble on the Englishman.

Aaron Finch: The fiery Australian opener needs no introduction for anyone. Finch was out of IPL for a couple of years and will continue to do so as all the 10 teams decided to ignore the 35-year-old batter who had a base price of 1.5 Crores.

Ishant Sharma: The tall lanky Indian pacer failed to find a spot in IPL 2022 after none of the teams showed any interest in signing the 33-year-old player. Ishant had played only 2 games in IPL 2021 for the Delhi Capitals and had a base price of 1.5 Crores.
