Chris Morris (16.25 Cr)- 2021
IPL’s costliest player till date Chris Morris turned out to be the biggest flops of IPL 2021. The formed dipped so bad that he ended up taking retirement ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction to avoid embarrassment. He failed to live up to the tag of an allrounder, managing just 67 runs but picked 15 wickets at an economy of 9.17.
Jaydev Unadkat (8.4 Cr)- 2019
Jaydev Unadkat is one of the biggest flops of IPL across all editions till date. He scalped 10 wickets from 11 matches at a forgetful economy rate of 10.66. Since then, he is on a decline with questions looming over his IPL 2022 participation.
Eoin Morgan (5.25 Crore)- 2021
Former KKR captain Eoin Morgan was bought for Rs 5.25 crore in the previous. As captain, he took Kolkata Knight Riders to the finals but his own record remained dismal. He could manage just 133 runs in 17 matches at an average of 11.08 which did not include even a lone half-century. His overall IPL career has been dismal. He has scored just 1405 runs in 83 matches at an average of 22.66.
Nicholas Pooran (4.2 Crore)- 2021
West Indies swashbuckling batsman Nicholas Pooran might have very impressive record in international cricket but his IPL career has been forgetful. He managed to score just 85 runs off 12 innings at a horrible average of 7.72.
Aaron Finch (4.4 crore)
Australia’s Aaron Finch was bought by RCB for Rs 4.4 crore in 2020. He managed to score just 268 runs in 12 matches at an average of 22.33. He managed to score a single half-century and thus ignored for last edition. He had earlier managed 134 runs in 10 inns while playing for Punjab Kings. Back then, he was purchased for Rs 6.2 crore.
