Ben Stokes: For two consecutive seasons, Ben Stokes was the most expensive player. The English all-rounder was picked up for Rs 14.5 Crore by Rising Pune Super Giants in 2017 while he went to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 12.5 Crore in 2018.
IPL Millionaire – Pat Cummins: IPL has seen insane amount being shelled out on pacers and Pat Cummins was one in 2020. He became the most expensive pacers of all time in IPL when KKR splashed Rs 15.5 Crore. Not just bowling, his batting also provides depth and he will once again be one of the expensive players in 2022.

Glenn Maxwell: Another all-rounder who has always been in demand is Glenn Maxwell. Considering his IPL career, he could be termed as a disappointment. Nevertheless, he keeps attracting franchises. RCB spent Rs 14.25 Crore for him last season and he finally proved his doubters wrong. But before that, Punjab spent 6 crore in 2014, Delhi spent 9 Crore in 2018. Punjab once again splashed 10.75 Cr in 2020.

IPL Millionaire – Kevin Pietersen: Kevin Pietersen is still a superstar but he was a most wanted man in the auctions in IPL 2009. RCB spent 7.6 Cr in IPL 2009 while Delhi Daredevils snapped him up for Rs 9 Crore in 2014.
Gautam Gambhir: In 2011, KKR made him the most expensive Indian player when they paid Rs 11 Crore to acquire his services. He not only surpassed Dhoni’s price tag, he also competed him in titles, winning two trophies.

IPL Millionaire – Chris Morris: The former South Africa all-rounder could be considered an IPL flop but that didn’t stop Rajasthan Royals from making him the highest-paid player in the auction. After RCB paid 10 Crore for Morris in IPL 2020 auctions, Rajasthan Royals broke the bank, paying him Rs 16.25 Crore in IPL 2021.
Dinesh Karthik: The Tamil Nadu gloveman was one of the most exciting players to watch out for. His effortless hitting power attracted Delhi Daredevils in 2014 when he was picked up for Rs 12.5 Crore and then RCB paid Rs 10.5 Crore in 2015, making him one of the IPL millionaires.
