The 22-year-old youngster, who had a great series against Australia down under, suffered a finger injury in March of last year, when the men in blue were touring England. Since then, he did not feature in the royal blue until this match.

His first breakthrough came in the 12th over. Just as when Brandon King and Darren Bravo were starting to find their rhythm, the all-rounder derailed West Indies by dismissing both players in the same over. He then made a comeback in the 38th over by picking up the wicket of Fabian Allen, who was looking dangerous after scoring 29 runs. Thanks to Sundar’s spell, Rohit Sharma’s team has managed to restrict the Caribbean boys to a lowball total of 176.
