On both occasions, however, he returned empty-handed after not getting a chance to showcase his talent. He has finally got his chance today, as he will be donning the royal blue for the first ODI of the three-match ODI series between India and West Indies, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Baroda lad has played 74 List A matches, in which he has scored 2257 runs at an average of 38.25 and a strike rate of 93.80. He has also picked up 35 List A wickets at an average of 27.11.
