1. Star Opener

Mumbai Indians will be eager to re buy their star player Quinton de Kock

Mumbai Indians would be eager to bring in their recently released wicketkeeping opener Quinton de Kock. De Kock has performed really well in IPL 2021 and continued his great form in the recently concluded India tour of South Africa series. The opening partnership of Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock is absolutely lethal and Mumbai will be eager to reciprocate this deadly partnership for IPL 2022.

2. Young All-rounder

Mumbai has the services of the veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard and with Suryakumar Yadav already taking care of the batting unit, Mumbai will be looking for a young talent all-rounder who can slot in the middle order and perform as nad when required for the team. Investing in young players has always been a tradition for Mumbai Indians, and it won’t be a surprise if MI replicates their same ideology in IPL 2022 Auction.

3. Spin bowlers

Mumbai has their pace lineup set, as Jasprit Bumrah would be charging their lines from the front. It can also be assumed that Tim Southee would be bought again, and the Kiwi pacer would complement young Bumrah. However, the Mumbai side is devoid of spinners and with part-time spinner Krunal Pandya released, MI will be looking to buy at least two specialist spinners. A combination of Indian and an overseas spinner would be perfect for the Mumbai outfits.
