In an interview with Aajtak Bhuban had said, “I just want people to know about my song and I want the government to help me with some funds to make some permanent living arrangements for my family. I also want to give them good food to eat and good clothes to wear.”
Coming from humble beginnings, Bhuban Badyakar seels peanuts in a distant village located in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. He has mentioned that he used to cycle his way to villages to sell peanuts and after his song went viral, a large number of people have started to buy peanuts in large quantities from him.
