MS Dhoni’s primary weapon was the helicopter shot when he used to hit bowlers for sixes in the slog overs of the game. Following his idol, Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya mastered the craft of the helicopter shot, and Afghanistan’s very own Rashid Khan is known for playing this special shot. However, in the PSL game featuring Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, another Afghani batter executed this finesse shot with perfection.

In the 15th over of the game, Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Islamabad United hit a huge sixer via the helicopter shot of Sohail Khan’s delivery who plays for the Peshwar Zalmi. The low hard shot was a perfect replication of MS Dhoni’s special shot and it easily cleared the ropes for a fine sixer. Gurbaz not being contented with the shot hit another sixer and followed it with a fine boundary.
In the game featuring Islamabad and Peshawar, the Zalmis started their innings poorly after losing early. Shoaib Malik and Sherfane Rutherford built a solid partnership as their scores of 25 and 70 not out respectively helped Peshawar register a decent total of 168 on the board.

The chase for the target for Islamabad was quite easy as they had a brilliant 112 run opening partnership of Paul Stirling and Alex Hales. Sterling was dimmed after scoring 57 and then Rahmanullah Gurbaz took his place along with Hales. The dynamic duo started hitting galore of boundaries to win the game for their side. Gurbaz remained not out on 27 while Haes ended the innings remaining not out on 82.
