With Mason Greenwood being investigated over a potential violence case with his girlfriend, Manchester United are currently looking short on firepower with Anthony Martial moving to Sevilla on loan, Amad joining Rangers till the end of the season, Donny Van de Beek joining Everton and if Jesse Lingard leaves for Newcastle United the Reds will be left with limited backup options who were previously looking as a squad with great depth.
Newcastle remain hopeful of finalising a deal for Jesse Lingard. Lingard has agreed terms with Newcastle.
