What came as a shock to the football community and millions of Manchester United fans all over the globe was when Harriet Robson, Mason Greenwood’s girlfriend, took to social media to post the images and voice notes.

The 21-year-old social media influencer Harriet Robson posted pictures on Instagram which showed her bruised face, arms, and thighs and bleeding from the mouth. She accused the 20-year-old Manchester United striker of inflicting the same. Reports claim that some of the pictures are as old as of 2020 which proves that Greenwood has been accused of domestic violence for a long period of time.

Recently, the posts are deleted from Harriet Robson’s account as is normal during an ongoing investigation. Greater Manchester Police department in a statement said that they were looking into the matter.

“Greater Manchester Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances,” read the statement of Greater Manchester Police.

Reports claim that the pair have known each other since they were in High School. But the couple broke up in 2020. Post a short split, the couple apparently were back together and have been together.

The Manchester club has released a statement regarding the matter. They have condemned any sort of violence and said that they have been made aware of the images and the accusations. The club decided not to comment anything on the matter which is currently under police investigation.

“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind,” read the statement of Manchester United.

Mason Greenwood has been touted as a generational talent for the club. Greenwood has scored a total of 35 goals in his 129 appearances for the club in all competitions.
