Republic Day 2022: Right to play as basic right? – On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day of India, the batting legend Sachin Tendulkar wants to add ‘Right to Play’ as a basic right to the constitution. The Right to Play has gathered steam after it was discussed at the UN as one of the rights of children.
Taking to his Twitter, Sachin posted a video in which he said, “I would like to wish everyone a happy Republic Day, 2022. This day in 1950, we adopted our constitution.

Laws, rights, ordinances, there are many aspects in our constitution because of which our nation is surging ahead strongly. But today I want to talk about a different right- Right to Play. In the United Nations conventions on the “rights of the child” this has been discussed and India too has accepted it.” “If you see, it is such a fun right to have. Earlier, PM Modi wrote a letter to Jonty Rhodesin which he stated, “Dear Mr. Jonty Rhodes, Namaste from India, On the 26th January every year. we mark our Republic Day. This is the day the Constitution of India came into being. After extensive deliberations by our esteemed Constituent Assembly. I would like to convey Republic Day greetings to you. 26th January this year is even more special because it is happening at a time when India marks 75 years since freedom from colonial rule. Thus, I decided to write to you and a few other friends of India, with a sense of gratitude for your affection towards India and a hope that you continue to work closely with our nation as well as our people.”
