“The one part of his game that he probably hasn’t had the continuity or the time to focus on has been his T20 cricket, but if you go back through his history there’s a skillset there that that lends itself to that format,” said Australia selector George Bailey while including him in the squad.
“He just fits really well with what he can do and provides a little bit of flexibility,” he added.
- Travis Head comes with an experience of 95 T20s where he has amassed 2222 runs at a decent strike rate of 132.5 which feature a century & 9 fifties.
- The presence of Lucknow & Ahmedabad could help the Aussie secure his return to IPL.
- The 28-year-old can reinstate his IPL career if given an opportunity. He had managed just 205 runs in 10 matches with a single fifty.
- He has played for RCB and DC in the past with the last price tag of Rs 50 lakh. The salary is unlikely to increase but he might end up with a contract after 5 years in the cash-rich league.
