Chelsea beat Tottenham LIVE: Chelsea end a run of four matches without a win in the Premier League after defeating Tottenham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. The home side took the lead in the early stages of the second half through a stunner from Hakim Ziyech before Thiago Silva added a second with a glancing header from Mason Mount’s free-kick. Spurs will feel aggrieved after Harry Kane saw a first-half strike controversially ruled out for a foul on Thiago Silva. However, Antonio Conte’s men were lackluster in the second period and as a result his unbeaten run in the league is halted by his former team. Chelsea beat Tottenham Live: Goals from Ziyech and Thiago Silva
Scorers: Ziyech 47′, Thiago Silva 55′
Antonio Conte suffered his first Premier League defeat as Tottenham manager when his side were beaten at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea made a bright start with both Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi having half-chances in the opening minutes.
In the 19th minute Malang Sarr had to receive treatment after being caught on the shin by Tottenham’s Matt Doherty. VAR checked the incident before deciding the challenge didn’t warrant punishment. Harry Kane then thought he’d given Spurs the lead just before half-time when he slotted in after Ryan Sessegnon’s cut-back, but the goal was disallowed for a foul on Thiago Silva.
