The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on 12th and 13th February while the main competition is tentatively scheduled to commence from the last week of March. A grand total of 1214 players have registered for the tournament of which 896 are Indians while 318 are overseas players. Jonny Bairstow: The 32-year-old wicketkeeping batter reduced his base price to 1.5 Cr, after he was previously sold for 2.20 Cr in what appears to be a highly clever move for the player. In IPL 2021 he scored 248 runs in just 7 innings with a high average of 41.33. His reduced base price will surely attract offers from all the teams.
