Chris Gayle: The Universe Boss has pulled out of IPL 2022 much to the dismay of the fans. With the 42-year-old West Indies hard hitter not getting any younger, it can be safe to say that he is past his form. Last season in IPL 2021, he pulled out of the tournament citing fatigue and injuries. It would be sad to see the legend not taking part in IPL 2022.

Ben Stokes: The 30-year-old all-rounder will also not be a part of IPL 2022 after deciding to take a rest in the summer owing to England’s humiliating loss against Australia in the recently concluded Ashes series. Stokes previously played 1 match in IPL 2021 following which he was sidelined for the entire tournament after breaking his finger.

Mitchell Starc: The Australian pacer too decided to pull out of the upcoming IPL Auction. Starc, who is widely appreciated for his fiery bowling will be staying at home to prepare himself and staying fresh for his country in the upcoming ODI series.

Jofra Archer: The 26-year-old pacer missed IPL 2021 due to injury. He returned to cricket briefly but had to undergo a surgery and is still recovering from the injury. Though the young pacer is fit and back to playing cricket for his nation, the decision to stay away from IPL 2022 seems to be a means to keep himself safe from further injuries and fatigue.

Chris Woakes: Having played just 3 games in IPL 2021 where he picked 5 wickets, the English bowler is set to miss the entire IPL 2022 after having not registered his name. It can be understood that Woakes wants to keep himself free of fatigue, injuries, and the norms of bio bubble.
Sam Curran: The 23-year-old English all-rounder has joined his brother Tom Curran in pulling out of IPL 2022. Sam Curran is currently nursing an injury he suffered during T20 World Cup.
