PV Sindhu LIVE – Syed Modi Badminton Sponsors: Despite of no broadcaster for the tournament, some of the leading names of the Indian corporate market, Dream11, Adani Group and Balrampur Chini Mills, Uttar Pradesh Tourism have signed up as a sponsor for the ongoing event. The tournament is being held at Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Some of the top international badminton players like PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, Evgeniya Kosetskaya, Sourabh Verma,  and others are participating in the tournament.

Speaking on the occasion, Navneet Sehgal, IAS, President, UP Badminton Association said: “We are absolutely delighted to have esteemed organizations like Adani Group, Dream 11, Balrampur Chini Mills come on board as sponsors for a very esteemed International tournament. Sport has suffered immensely due to COVID19 and thankfully, things are improving and players are getting an opportunity to play. We are ensuring a safe and protected environment for them to play. Uttar Pradesh is growing as a hub of sports and now that the state has adopted badminton and wrestling there is a long way to go.”

Adding to it, Kiran Vivekananda, Chief Policy Officer Dream Sports and Head, Dream Sports Foundation said: “Dream11 is honoured to partner with Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association for the upcoming edition of the historic Syed Modi International Badminton Tournament. As a sports engagement platform, it is our constant endeavor to support the growth & development of sports in the state and our support towards the Syed Modi International Tournament 2022 is a significant move in that direction. We look forward to further collaborating and supporting the UP Govt and wish all the participants in the tournament the very best.”

The Syed Modi India International Championship 2022 commenced on January 18 and will end on January 23.
