IPL 2022: IND vs SA ODIs last chance for David Miller, Aiden Markram & Tabraiz Shamsi to shine ahead of mega auction
David Miller
The South Africa batter has failed to impress in the last few seasons. He had a forgetful 2021 where he managed 124 runs at an average of 24.8 which includes a lone half-century. He missed the 2020 season and could amass just 213 runs in 10 matches during the 2019 edition at an average of 26.62. Now, the upcoming ODIs gives him a chance to prove his worth for an IPL contract ahead of the mega auction.
Tabraiz Shamsi
Former World No.1 T20 spinner Tabraiz Shamsi failed to make an impact in his lone appearance in IPL 2021 after a 5-year-long comeback. He will be hoping for yet another contract for which he will have to prove his worth in the upcoming 3 games. He still holds the World No.2 status in ICC T20I rankings and the presence of additional teams in IPL 2022 is likely to help him fetch a contract to play in the cash-rich league.
Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram had a decent outing on his debut season during IPL 2021 Phase 2. He scored 146 runs in 6 innings for Punjab Kings at an average of 29.2. Unfortunately, his recent form is under the scanner with just 76 runs in 6 innings during the Test series. He will have to turn it around in the upcoming ODIs if he wants to stay in contention for an IPL contract.
