Virat Kohli to reach 2nd spot in the most number of centuries – Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently in the 3rd spot in the list of most centuries scored by an individual. Standing tall at the top of the list is Sachin Tendulkar with 100 tons, followed by Ricky Ponting at 71 and Virat breathing closely on Ponting’s neck at 70. The upcoming three ODIs will prove a good opportunity for Kohli to match Ponting or even topple him from the 2nd spot.

Virat Kohli aims to surpass Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly: Virat Kohli stands eighth highest among batters with most runs in ODIs against South Africa. The former Indian captain needs 26 runs more to surpass Rahul Dravid (1309 runs) and Sourav Ganguly (1313 runs) and become the second-highest Indian run-getter after Sachin’s tally of 2001 runs.

Yuzvendra Chahal to complete 100 ODI wickets – The right-arm spinner is currently ranked 23 in the list of Indian bowlers to have taken most wickets in ODIs. Chahal’s tally is currently stuck at 97 wickets. If he can pick 3 wickets in the upcoming series, then he will surely add a new feather in his cap.

Quinton de Kock to eclipse Faf du Plessis – Faf du Plessis has a total run score of 5507 which he achieved in 136 innings with a healthy average of 47.47. Breathing just behind his neck and set to overtake du Plessis is Quinton de Kock. The latter has registered 5355 runs in 124 innings with an average of 45.38. De Kock requires just 152 runs to move up the rankings, which looks extremely doable in the upcoming 3 ODI matches.

KL Rahul can equal Virat Kohli’s captaincy record – Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, India has been able to win just a solitary series against the Proteas in South African soil in the ODIs. In 2018, Kohli-led India humiliated South Africa and won their first-ever ODI series by a gigantic margin of 5-1. This 3 match series can be a perfect opportunity for K L Rahul to achieve the feat of Kohli if he can lead his side to victory.
