IPL 2022 Auction: 10 players likely to undergo pay cuts:- As the IPL 2022 mega auction draws near, the future IPL stints of some players are likely in the line if they do not take huge pay cuts. Aged and experienced players that have fallen out from their respective national teams and have performed marginally over the last couple of years, fall into this list. With just a couple of weeks remaining for the IPL 2022 mega auction, players have made it their top priority of performing to attract the franchises. The IPL 2022 mega auction is scheduled to take place on 12th and 13th February in Bengaluru. InsideSport takes a look at the list of players who will need to take pay cuts to win themselves a spot in the IPL 2022 campaign.

Dinesh Karthik: After relatively poor performances over the last three editions of IPL, the former KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik will have to take a huge pay cut. From Rs 7.40 Cr, the enthusiasm around him in the auction is likely to be less. In his last season, Karthik scored 223 runs in 17 matches with an average of 22.30.

Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan has been pretty solid in the batting front over the last couple of seasons. However, age and inconsistency of late will see his stocks significantly reduce. At Delhi Capitals, he got a salary of Rs 5.20 Cr but at the mega auction, it will go down significantly.

Dwayne Bravo: The mighty all-rounder from Trinidad had an average stint last season. In 11 matches he scored 47 runs, however, he managed to bag 14 wickets with an average of 18.78. Apart from his salary of 6.40 Cr, another trouble for Bravo is his age. The 38-year-old was released by CSK. Even though many would be interested in his services, no team

Suresh Raina: The former Indian all-rounder had a relatively poor season in IPL 2021. With a mere average of 17.77, he scored 160 runs in 12 matches, forcing CSK to release their Chinna Thala. While CSK will be interested in getting him again, the 35-year-old Raina will not get Rs 11 Cr. His salary will be significantly reduced in IPL 2022.

Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin had an average IPL 2021 season. He bagged 7 wickets in 13 games with an average of 47.28. Although he has returned to his best in white-ball cricket, the 35-year-old spinner will see his last drawn salary of Rs 7.60 Cr significantly reduced in IPL 2022.

David Warner: The Australian hard-hitter had a decent stint in IPL 2021 after registering 195 runs in 8 games with an average of 24.37. With a huge salary of 12.50 Cr, the 35-year-old batter will surely not achieve the same sum for IPL 2022.

Nicholas Pooran: The West Indian wicketkeeper had a poor season last year. With just 85 runs in 12 matches with an average of 7.72, Pooran will have his previous salary of 4.20 Cr significantly reduced to play this year. 

Manish Pandey: The Indian batter had a decent stint in last year’s IPL. However, the 32-year-old cannot earn his salary of 11 Cr for IPL 2022. His salary will be hugely reduced. 

Eoin Morgan: The 35-year-old English batter had a poor season in IPL 2021. With just 133 runs in 17 games, the former KKR skipper will not have any side matching his previous salary of 5.25 Cr.

Kyle Jamieson: The 27-year-old Kiwi bowler had a decent stint in IPL 2021. He bagged 9 wickets in 9 games with an average of 29.88. However, Jamieson will not be earning his previous 15 Cr as no team would be willing to match that amount.
