Bumrah had a good outing in Cape Town, picking up the wicket of AB de Villiers as his first Test scalp. The Indian pacer followed it up with a three-wicket haul in the second innings, making a perfect start to life in the longest format of the game. Bumrah has never looked back since, rising to the spearhead of the Indian pace attack.
“Playing in South Africa, I made my Test debut on this ground so it is special to come back to this ground where I started my Test journey. We were trying to focus on the game, we are trying to focus on what we can do and everyone wants to contribute. We wanted to create pressure,” Bumrah said.
