Emirates FA Cup LIVE: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Arsenal – Well, what an upset Nottingham Forest have caused the big boys. High-flying Arsenal have been dumped out of the FA Cup, and deservedly so, by a Nottingham Forest side who were by far the better team from start to finish. Lewis Grabban’s winning goal, although coming late, was the least the hosts deserved as they created more chances, and defended better than the Gunners, who exit the competition. Marauding up and down the right wing like a man possessed, Djed Spence was a stand-out in this match, and integral to Forest’s high-energy style of play. He had the most touches of any Forest player, as well as four interceptions, a perfect passing accuracy in Arsenal territory, including one key pass, and was also fouled four times, showing how he popped up all over the pitch to help Forest complete a famous victory.
The hosts, who beat the Gunners 4-2 at this stage of the competition in 2017-18 have beaten them once again causing a huge upset to the visitors. Arsenal have won more FA Cups than other other team and they have exited the third round of the FA Cup in Nottingham Forest’s fairytale story.

Arsenal crashed out of the FA Cup without managing a shot on target in an abject outing away to Nottingham Forest on Sunday night. Their goalkeeper Bernd Leno was the busier goalkeeper by a distance, twice having to pull off excellent saves to prevent the Championship outfit taking the lead before they did hit the front with seven minutes left.
Arsenal lost the ball cheaply in midfield and from the resulting counter-attack, Lewis Grabban made himself the Forest hero to set up a meeting with holders Leicester in round four. The Gunners, who have won the tournament a record 14 times, had only been beaten once at the third round stage in the last 25 years. That defeat came at the City Ground in 2018 against Nottingham Forest.
