Emirates FA Cup LIVE: Tottenham and Liverpool win

Tottenham 3-1 Morecambe; Scorers: Winks 74′, Moura 85′, Kane 87′; O’Connor 33′

Tottenham needed three goals and to call their stars from the bench in the closing stages to survive a big scare against League One Morecambe at home. Captain Anthony O’Connor lost his marker from a corner to volley the ball into the bottom corner after 33 minutes to give the visitors a shock lead.

And they held it until the final 16 minutes when Harry Winks floated a free-kick from out wide towards goal which evaded everyone and found the corner.

Substitute Lucas Moura then won it and spared Spurs’ blushes when he won possession on the halfway line, stormed forward and rounded the goalkeeper to score before fellow sub Harry Kane definitively killed off the dream moments later.

Liverpool 4-1 Shrewsbury Town; Scorers: Gordon 34‘, Fabinho pen 44′, 90′, Firmino 78′; Udoh 27′

Liverpool also fought back from an early deficit to see off Shrewsbury Town in comfortable fashion at Anfield. Jürgen Klopp returned to the sidelines to lead a much-changed Liverpool but the German will not have been happy with the start from his side as Shrewsbury Town stormed into a surprise lead.

Daniel Udoh sent the travelling fans into raptures when he poked home from Nathanael Ogbeta’s cross but Kaide Gordon levelled for Liverpool seven minutes later, slotting into the bottom corner from 12 yards out.

The hosts were then awarded a penalty two minutes before half-time after Ethan Ebanks-Landell handled in the box with Fabinho sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to complete the turnaround for the Reds.

And substitute Roberto Firmino ensured there would be no major upset in the closing stages when he controlled while facing away from goal inside the six-yard box and coolly back-heeled home the third before compatriot Fabinho added a fourth in injury time.

West Ham United 2-0 Leeds United; Scorers: Lanzini 40′, Bowen 90+3′

A controversial goal from Manuel Lanzini helped West Ham see off a makeshift Leeds side and book their place in round four. The Hammers piled on the pressure in the early stages as almost took the lead through Jarrod Bowen but the winger had his shot cleared off the line by Luke Ayling.

David Moyes’ side moved ahead with Lanzini slotting into an empty net from six yards out after a goalmouth scramble. The goal was eventually given after a lengthy VAR check with Bowen appearing to be offside but not deemed to be interfering with play. Bowen wrapped things up in the final minute of injury time with the second to send Marcelo Bielsa’s side packing.

Wolves 2-0 Sheffield United; Scorers: Podence 12′, 80′, Semedo 72′

Daniel Podence-inspired Wolves had too much for Sheffield United at Molineux on Sunday as they comfortably advanced. Podence gave the hosts the lead after just 12 minutes, calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner from close range after being set up by Fabio Silva.

And Wolves put the game beyond doubt from a lethal counter-attack in the closing stages, with Rayan Aït-Nouri teeing up Nélson Semedo to score after brilliant work from Podence inside his own half.

A third swiftly followed as the outstanding Podence grabbed his second from the edge of the area after the goalkeeper was caught in no man’s land in chasing a loose ball.
