Pro Kabaddi PKL 8: Gujarat Giants who are currently struggling having won just one game in the league so far will take on an in-form Patna Pirates tomorrow at the Pro Kabaddi League – Follow PKL 2021-22 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN
Gujarat are currently languishing in the bottom-half of the points table despite the team having star power. In their last game, the star-studded Gujarat defence comprising Ravinder Pahal, Girish Ernak and Parvesh Bhainswal had no clue against a Vikas Kandola led Haryana Steelers.
Their defenders have so far been under-performing and with Ravinder Pahal suffering an injury in the last game. They are expected to change their line-up and coach Manpreet Singh would hope this also brings about a positive change in the way their defence performs against an in-form Patna Pirates.
Pro Kabaddi PKL 8: Gujarat Giants face a stiff Patna challenge
For Gujarat, raider Rakesh Sangroya has been the main man who took 19 points during their last game. Rakesh Narwal has also been impressive in the raids having racked up 44 points in six games so far. Despite some brilliant individual performances the team has struggled to get wins on the board.
Meanwhile, Patna will be wary of the strong defence that Gujarat possess but Monu Goyat and Sachin so far has been impressive in the raids and one can hope for another strong show from the duo. Unlike Gujarat Patna don’t have any big names in their squad but the men have performed exceptionally well in all the departments.
Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh and Neeraj Kumar have stepped up in defence for Patna and Sajin C who had a bad day against Tamil Thalaivas will also look to get back to form. While Gujarat seeks revival Patna will be eager to continue their good momentum in the season,
