In the 6 ODIs in 2021, he has been able to score only 119 runs at an average of 23.8 and he has not played Test cricket since 2018. The 2021 edition of IPL was one to forget for Pandya. Looking at his injuries and his form at the lowest point, he was released by his franchise Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2022.
