IND U19 beat AFG U19: India ensures semi-final berth with 4 wicket win over Afghanistan U19: Riding on Harnoor Singh’s 65 and Raj Angad Bawa’s unbeaten 43 India U19 registered a four-wicket win over Afghanistan in a U-19 Asia Cup fixture on Monday. Opting to bowl, India had a good start with the ball and reduced Afghanistan to 101-3 in 29th over. However, an 88-run stand between Ijaz Ahmadzai and Suliman Safi helped Afghanistan recover and post 259 on the board. Ijaz remained unbeaten on 86 while Suliman Safi was removed by Rajvardhan Hangargekar for 73.
Coming to the chase, Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi added 104 runs for the opening wicket and laid a solid foundation for the run-chase. However, three quick wickets saw India reeling at 116/3. In the end, Raj Bawa (43*) and Kaushal Tambe (35*) guided the side over the line with 4 wickets in hand and 10 balls to spare.
