WWE Day 1: WWE is still on course with Day 1 plans- The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has hit the world already, but it seems like WWE is not thinking about it much. The variant has already spread in the United States and halted the NHL season, with North America being the most affected region.
WWE Day 1: Multiple cities across North America are shutting down already, but WWE is not in any mood to halt the WWE Day 1 PPV event scheduled on January 1, 2022, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

WWE Day 1: WWE will go ahead with the PPV as planned
Despite the Omicron variant taking a toll and spreading like a live wire in the United States. WWE has also suffered the wrath of this variant as many background support staff individuals have been tested positive. Apart from this, WWE has postponed its Canadian leg of tours, but nothing related to cancelation or postponement has been announced for WWE Day 1.

WWE Day 1: WWE still looking to host the PPV event despite the Omicron Outbreak
But why is WWE not willing to skip this threat for the PPV event? According to PW Insider, the actual reasons for going forward with their tour plans are that the company feels that those affected with the virus will have enough time to quarantine before the time comes for the Day 1 event, i.e. January 1, 2022. They are going ahead with the plans, and even the US tour dates are still in the go.
